Platinum Tokens and Rares

Literally read the thread.

Where does it say anything about item sinks? From the OP, I gathered that the shop will either result in a cash sink (seems to be winning the vote) or an item sink, but not both- "Platinum tokens obtained through either coin or item exchange (but not both)".

Maybe I have misunderstood and Pali is just referring to single transactions?

The shop won't use one currency. Basically, allowing platinum tokens to be bought with both items and coins would mean people could just pass on using items ever to buy rares. The shop would incorporate two seperate currencies, both of which would be required to buy rares, and each would have a specific way of being obtained.

So, coins can be converted to platinum tokens which can then be used to purchase rares? Will it then be possible to change the tokens back to coins?

Another way to obtain rares will be through purchasing a different currency using items? Is this correct?

There shouldn't be a way to change Tokens back to coins. Might cause people to RWT and it wouldn't look phishy because lower amount of Platinum Tokens.

Platinum tokens should be able to be converted back to coins just like osrs, it's annoying having a mm for trades/stakes that involve more than 1b cash

Literally have so many stakes on video because i need a mm to hold my cash or the opponents. (10b, 20b, 50b stakes)
Even the mm gets tired of trading stacks over 1 by 1.

Tokens should be tradeable amongst players too.

I think platinum tokens should be added but not for money sink purposes.
To refresh the economy you could add the rare shop to appear at holiday season, christmas as one example. Create custom prices for phats as example, make christmas cracker to be bought with 800m cash and 3 armadyl sets as example.
By having the shop appear only at holiday seasons, it will make them more rare. For me it's not reasonable to have shop for rares available everydays.

Halloween masks for halloween, Santa hats for christmas(?)

Platinum tokens should be how they are in osrs : used for staking/trading over max cash. This way you don't need a middleman for almost every trade/stake over 999m.
As for the rare shop, make it so that you exchange 3m-8m (3-8b cash) platinum tokens for a rare (hweens/parthats/santa).
