Making custom items for the sake of custom items just seems pointless. (including custom stats)
The items will retain there price as they can insta sell to pawnshop for 8m/114m respectively (approx) and once corrupted are no longer tradable and only on rare occasions would these be traded off accs.

These items already exist in the main game. Its all about equality of setups and the game offering more different styles. It was sort of an idea to implement this as a budget gear. Adding custom items for 0 reason is pointless, it will make the Blade of Saeldor best in slot everywhere and out dps everything including a scythe. There is 0 need or necessity to make items have custom stats. If this is the case may as well make Bandos armour have the Mage Defence of Armadyl and defensive bonus of Justicar. As for laying as budget gear thats already in game, its called Barrows. It not seen negatively its seen realistically in the fact of making range armour BIS for melee is just a no.
